The 10th open art exhibition for people aged 70 and over is now accepting submissions for works that make you look younger the older you get.

Today, we are pleased to announce the call for submissions for the 10th Art Exhibition for People Over 70: The Older You Get, the Younger You Get. We will be accepting submissions until January 15th of next year, so there is still time to do so. Why not try your hand at painting in this autumn of art?

We are also looking forward to receiving enthusiastic and creative works to mark the finale of this open exhibition, which has been running for 20 years!

[Eligibility requirements]
Those aged 70 or older (age as of January 15, 2025)
No restrictions on nationality or occupation

[Application period]
December 1, 2024 (Sunday) - January 15, 2025 (Wednesday)
*Due to a limited number of works that can be exhibited, we may close applications early.

[Submissions]
Two-dimensional works, free theme *Limited to works created after the age of 70 *Japanese painting, watercolor, oil painting, acrylic painting, pastel, print, ink painting, collage, other (excluding calligraphy and photography)
Size: Within 20 (within 72.7cm x 72.7cm, size not including frame)
The work must be framed (glass is not acceptable, acrylic is acceptable) and must have metal fittings and strings for display. Also, the surface of the work must not protrude beyond the frame.

[Listing Fee]
5,000 yen (Exhibitors will receive an invitation ticket)

If you know any grandparents who paint, please let them know. The exhibition will be held at the Matsumoto Museum of Art in Nagano Prefecture.
