Hello, this is Galleria Reino Fukuyama. Yesterday, a person from the Onomichi Nakata Museum of Art came to our store to request framing. Thank you for visiting.

Scenes that unfold in paintings, such as the sea at sunrise, the colorful mountains with each season, and bustling city streets, are a delight to the eyes of the viewer. The "perspective" that shapes the space on the canvas was systematized by the 15th century Italian humanist Alberti. He also considered paintings to be "open windows" through which to see what is being depicted. Today, there are a variety of works, from those that use traditional perspective to those that pursue flatness and decorativeness, but paintings as windows have been cited to this day as a fundamental metaphor.

This exhibition will mainly feature a variety of landscape paintings from the modern era to the present day. Through the power of paintings to take the viewer's mind to a faraway place, beyond the landscapes and subjects depicted, we hope you will discover a perspective that opens up even further from your current location.
