Pastels are stick-shaped paints made by solidifying pigments with a small amount of adhesive. They can be applied directly to paper without using a brush or palette.

  • Holbein soft pastels have the advantage of sticking well to paper. However, they do not have the strength to adhere to paper, so when you finish drawing, spray them with a pastel fixative to prevent the powder from falling off.

  • Smooth to apply Holbein soft pastels have fine particles, spread softly on paper and provide a smooth application.
