Yoshiro Nagase
He was active from the early Taisho period through the Showa period. Through prints and oil paintings, he continued to question society about the "world of beauty" that he believed in.

Born in Irino, Kitanaka Village, Nishiibaraki County, Ibaraki Prefecture (now Sakuragawa City), he studied basic drawing at the Hakubakai Western Painting Institute in Koishikawaharamachi in order to enter art school.
