Hamasaki Sahatsushi

Born in Hilo, Hawaii, USA, he returned to Hiroshima.

After the war, he exhibited large-scale works at exhibitions such as the Japan Art Academy Exhibition, the Shinkyo Art Exhibition, and the Japan Expressionist Exhibition, and also served as a judge for the Hiroshima Prefectural Art Exhibition from its first exhibition.

An artist who was based in Hiroshima throughout his life.

In 2023, a special exhibition titled "Hamasaki Sagako: The Rebellious Artist Who Loved Hiroshima" will be held at the Izumi Museum of Art.
