Mr. Yoshitsugu Yamamoto visited us.
The Yoshitsugu Yamamoto exhibition will be held at the Izumi Museum of Art from Saturday, March 16, 2024 .
Yoshitsugu Yamamoto studied painting in Tokyo and France and is based in Hiroshima. Born in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, he went on to study painting at Musashino Art University and after graduating he studied painting in Paris before returning to Japan.
What I want to draw is in the darkness
Yamamoto Yoshitsugu's works feature contrasts between light and shadow, and appear in the style of Baroque pioneer Caravaggio, as well as Baroque artists such as Rembrandt , Vermeer, and Velazquez.
